As lots of people could tell you, I have a tendency to stay on the visionary side of things without ever a glance toward the practical side. I am an unapologetic idea person, and I love dreaming about what could be. I can see all the pieces fit together in my head, and I get so excited about everything! The problem with this is, I have almost no practical side of turning those ideas into reality. So I generally am left with a head full of ideas and nothing to show for it. This is probably why my family was so surprised when Luke and I actually moved to California. I had an idea – we had an idea – and we did it! One of the many ways we balance each other out, I suppose. Luke definitely has a little bit more of a practical side. Anyway, that was neither here nor there.

However, the truth is that I am tired of having ideas but never putting them into practice. So I am looking for a balance. I am created to be an idea-person, and I never ever want to lose that. But what’s the good of ideas if they stay only that – ideas?

So I am going to share my ideas and plans here. Maybe putting them in a blog into the great wide world will make me push through. Then I’ll have ideas and completed plans together.

That being said, here are my two goals. One short term, one a little more long term.

1 – Have a first draft of a new story by the end of April (short-term)

2 – Run the LA Marathon next March (long-term and a little scary!)

I never want to be disheartened, and I never want to miss things God has planned out for me to do. I am here to passionately pursue, and keep on running the race to the finish line (quite literally, actually!) It should be interesting.
