I’m Lynn Renee Maxcy.

I was broken but am being loved back to wholeness. I write for my life and my living. My heart goes with Luke wherever he goes. And I dream in coffee.
My heart in writing is to bring hope wherever I go, to bring people together, and to make the world just a little bit better.

As Madeleine L’Engle says in her amazing book Walking on Water,“…to serve any discipline of art… is to affirm meaning despite all the ambiguities and tragedy and misunderstanding which surrounds us.” I write because I believe that, in the midst of our crazy world, there is always room for hope and authenticity and truth. And so we move forward…

I’m after the words that live in your soul long after you’ve set the book aside. When the last page is turned, they remain. I’m after the very deepest parts of our existence. I am after truth. What is it that you’ll see in my words? I hope they breathe life into you… that they cling to your heart when I have finished speaking. I hope you see yourself reflected – the very best parts of who you are, maybe even the very worst. But I hope you find grace there… sinking deeper and deeper into your heart, along with each word. I’m digging deep now… and I can’t turn back anymore. Maybe I don’t want to.  Want to come along on the journey?
